100% Reliable

I enjoy attending women's conferences. There is nothing better than being in a room that looks similar to what I believe Heaven will be. A room full of women of different backgrounds, different experiences, different ethnicities but share one thing in common- the love of Jesus! If you have not attended a women’s conference do yourself a favor and find one soon! Since the pandemic, I have attended virtual conferences that were just as awesome as in-person conferences. Attend one with a friend. It will change your life! I digress!
My first conference was one to remember. After a day filled with tears, laughter, worship, and praise, the host was about to introduce the last speaker to the stage. But instead of a game or a song, the host asked us to take a moment to talk to God. To listen to Him, wait for Him to speak, ask Him to reveal the message we needed to hear from the conference.
I desperately needed this moment of silence. I was at a crossroad in my career. Honestly, I was at a breaking point in my life. I thought I heard from God in the past about my life but I was wrong. I was hesitant to call on Him in fear I would not hear the right voice.
I decided to open my Bible to the next book I planned on reading. I thought possibly this would jump start hearing from God. I didn’t have to read far before the Lord graciously spoke. 1 Corinthians 1:9, “God will do this, for He is faithful to do what He says, and He has invited you into a partnership with his son Jesus, Christ our Lord.” And there it was, written beside the verse on the outskirts of my Bible pages: “He is 100% reliable, 100% of the time”. I’m sure this came from a devotional or a pastor’s sermon but I loved it enough (and still do) to write it in my Bible.
The scripture states how faithful the Lord is and how he has invited us into a partnership with His Son. Partnership: A person who shares an intimate relationship with Jesus Christ.
But the part of the scripture that speaks to my spirit states, “for He is faithful to do what He says”. It didn’t say what He may do or what you want Him to do. But the Lord will do what He says. And if He says it’s yours to have then you will have it. We can rely on His Word in every season because we have faith in what He says He will do. Yes, God is good all the time and all the time God is good. But I like the saying “He is 100% reliable, 100% of the time.”
